Chris Rock Throws Shade Hours After Will Smith Apology

The comedian may not be ready for a sit-down chat with Will Smith, but he certainly has been slipping in digs here and there.

No sooner than folks had a chance to process and/or reactions simmered down to Will Smith expressing remorse through a 5-minute videotaped apology to Chris Rock, it seems the comedian is offering up more food for thought. Several months since the aftermath of the Oscar slap incident, the King Richard star finally broke his silence. In the video clip, Smith offered up an explanation:

“I was fogged out by that point. It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk and when he is, he will reach out. So, I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk. I want to apologize to Chris’ mother. I saw an interview that Chris’ mother did and that was one of the things about that moment I didn’t realize. I wasn’t thinking about how many people got hurt in that moment.”

On Friday, Rock performed a show at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. Although the 57-year-old did not mention the apology specifically, he spoke very briefly about the incident and left nothing to the imagination especially with regard to the comparison to vengeful rap executive Suge Knight. rock quipped:
